Working with Barry:
It began simply as "we cannot go on like this". Actually, it didn't - it was worse than that!

Then, we had a conversation about inverting the typical company hierarchal organisation chart and empowering people to control their own working environments. It became a 2-year organisational culture change journey across all levels of the organisation, based on servant leadership principles, with the goal of:-

· making this a better place to work for me and for everyone
· building pride in the work place
· making the most of the people we have got
· building accountability
· making the site as successful as we possibly can

Barry helped me take a group of skeptical, demotivated, underperforming, backward-looking and disillusioned people and deliver real, sustained improvements in the areas above.
Along the way, we shared many a painful, emotional day. I slept in his attic, drank numerous cups of tea, had breakfast with his family and pitched my tent on his manicured lawn.
It was without doubt, one of the most satisfying periods of my career. It is one of my biggest regrets that I was not there at the end to see the full fruits of our hard work.

Barry has worked with me and my team for three years. It's only when I look back over that time that I realise how far we have come in terms of both individual and team development. Barry has been a key part of our journey. He continually coaches and encourages us, providing the tools we need for continuous development and growth. Barry has an inherent knack of knowing what to do at what time. His personable approach makes it very easy for even the most reserved characters to open up to him. Our organisation has worked with Barry Dore on and off for the last 5 years. However, over the last 18 months we commissioned him to support us through a substantial piece of work centred on creating a new strategic plan and building a high performance staff culture.
